did not recieve November 10, 2006 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am still waiting for the gameshark 2 that I payed for, it has been over 5 months now and I still never got it even though amazon insists that I did, I contacted some people several times and they are still trying to track it down, I am very disappointed that I had to pay for something I did not get and I am never using amazon again, it is too unreliable and would appreciate if amazon would stop emailing me.
The sad, sad truth behind the game shark. November 6, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
First, if you have the old playstation 2 (not slim and without the network built in)don't buy!!! The disc is undersized compared to a regular disc. You will spend hours attempting to get the disc to read because it has to be placed "just right in the reader." Next, the discs are blue on the bottom and are so delicate if you even think about a scratch, you will have one. And finally, the gameshark website takes 2-5 weeks to update codes for new games. When it works and you have the codes, its great. But that is few and far between sessions.
always top-notch performance November 4, 2006 you can never go wrong with gameshark. ive used it for a while now on some of the more difficult games. gives you just what you need to get through tough boards or advanced games. love it.
Gameshark 2 for PS2 March 19, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a really cool product for those who like to play through a game without having to worry about dying and having to replay an entire section. Its also a great tool for getting past very challenging parts of a game. The only drawbacks for this item is the fact that some of the newer games` codes might not work. I retrieved some codes for a fairly new game and took the time to input them manually, only to find out that the codes didnt actually work. Very disappointing. Other than that, this item is fun to use.
problems? July 4, 2004 7 out of 12 found this review helpful
i've read alot of purchasers saying the gameshark 2 for the ps2 is a bad investment. if you asked me 2 years ago i would have agreed. through owning one original gameshark and all the version up grades (3 so far) i've found that it depends on both the version of your gameshark and your ps2. the first ps2 i bought died a year after i got it, i still don't know what happened but it wasn't the gameshark, it was hardware. the second one has last a year and is running great even with a gameshark plugged in all the time. be smart, read as much as possible on every purchase, and ask the people who own them and you can get the right information to figure out if this is an investment you're willing to make. point 1: the first two gameshark 2 versions were crap. the stalled out all the time, erased your memory card, and never played any code except the ones from the factory. version 3 was the first one with the keyboard and had absolutely no problems. point 2: the people that say the codes don't work now are using version 4 codes on a version 3 gameshark, more than likely. if you want something to stay away from i can give it, the non-sony memory codes are worthless, they will erase your memory when taken from their ports. there, i've given alot of ideas on what to do to keep your bum covered, have a great day.
