This game rocks! In it you race as characters from the "Crash bandicoot" series. there are secret characters that you have to unlock too. When you are in a race or battle, You can get boosts from jumping high and sliding. If you hit a crate with a question mark on it, you will get a weapon. If you hit a plain crate, you get wumpa fruits which power up your weapons. But don't try to hit the TNT or nitro crates because they will blow you up. In adventure mode you have to race to get to boss levels to battle bosses until you get to the big kahuna, Nitris Oxide. If you beat him, you save the planet from his wrath. In this game it is the very small things like slide and jump boosting that will make or break a race. This is a detailed game that's good for all ages. Dads like it too!

CTR is a great game. I'm a PlayStation owner, but lots of friend have Nintendo 64. Whenever I went to their houses we would play MarioKart64, and every time I say to myself, "I wish I had this game." When CTR came out, I bought it quickly, and it's a gas. It's not hard to learn if you have the racing knack, but lots of shortcuts and secrets will keep me interested in it for eternity. I can't have enough fun beating my friends and family in the arcade mode, and the adventure mode is a challenge. I definitely recommend CTR to anyone who has a sense of fun.

5 out of 5 stars It's good to go   February 15, 2000

I have played every Crash game there is, and with the exception of the original Crash Bandicoot, they are great. It is obvious to see that each one gets better and better. I don't think this game is better than Crash Warped because it is too different. Running way from seals and mummies is one thing and chasing the bad guys down in cars is deffinately another. But it is still a five star game because it goes on for what seems luike forever! It's really great.

Crash Team Racing is an excellent game revolving around the basis of Mario Cart for the 64. Personally I like this game better. It has awesome tracks that challenge the person to have great skill and manuvering abilities to play. The 2-4 player mode is exciting and really gets you going. I felt that the one player adventure was a little to easy. I bought the game and had 100% closed on the one player mode by the next day. Beside that you can't beat the 2-4 player mode. It's excellent for parties and tounaments. I give it four stars.
