Crash Team Racing is one of the best Playstation games out. It is worth every penny spent on it. I have found it fun for anyone and a great challenge. With all the different characters and courses, CTR doesn't get old quick. It is my favorite racing game that I have ever played. No matter is you're playing solo or playing with friends CTR is fun for all.
Sure it's another mascot racing game, but it's the best out! December 21, 1999

It would be an understatement to say I was pessimistic when news first came in on Naughty Dog's last Crash Bandicoot video game. Every nasty thought I ever had about the title vanished the second I popped it in. Naughty Dog has managed to keep the traditional Crash Bandicoot flavor while retaining the tried and true formula of the recent onslaught of mascot racers. (i.e. Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing and the upcoming South Park Rally) First of all the graphics are, while not as eye-popping as say, Final Fantasy VIII, still manage to drop jaws. There are more than a few nicely done effects in this game that I'm sure will leave you staring wide eyed at your television screen. Of course, like all other racers like it, CTR is packed to the teeth with weapons that aren't exactly wholly original, are exciting nontheless. Another nice feature about this game is the racing itself. Instead of putting a "deathlock" on the gas and simply navigating through the level at hand, the game requires you to actually "race", something most arcade racers don't put much of an emphasis on. Last but certainly not least, is the incredibly entertaining multiplayer mode. You'll make the best of this game by dusting off you're ancient Multitap and gathering three friends to play with. If you enjoyed Mario Kart 64 and DKR and you have a Playstation, don't hesitate and buy this game.

Okay, face it. This is the best racing game on the planet. With Crash, Coco, Dingodile, Tiny, Dr. Neo Cortex, Dr. N Gin, Polar, and Pura, this game shows real fun and you have to rent it ora buy it. Anybody would definetly enjoy it without fail!

This game is just AMAZING! I really, really mean this. DO NOT by Chocobo Racing. Buy this.The graphics in this game are lush, colorful, fast, without any pop-up(how did they do it?), and are just fun to look at. Even in two player mode, there's no real frame-rate reduction(!). The controls are both easy and realistic(sounds weird saying this, for this game being a kart game). The control demands both brake and gas, not just slamming on the gas. And, if you do a "skid" right, you'll get a free turbo. Master this even, and you can turbo down a whole race. There are some modes, including: Adventure, Time Trial, VS. and even Battle mode. The adventure mode is the heart of this game; you'll get to race around in a beautiful world. Time Trials are best put this way: You race alone. And the VS. and Battle modes are just spetacular, containing hours of fun either racing your friend or blowing him to smithereens. There really is no bad side to this game, and if there is, it's almost transparent or something to do with repetivity(is there such a word?). This IS the "Mario Kart" for the Playstation, if you wanted to know. Buy this at all costs.

I had been waiting months for CTR and when it came out I was so surprised how good it was. At any area you'll feel intense. From great graphics to super sound! If you're someone new to racing games than this is a great starter game. Fans of Crash Bandicoot and the original should definetly buy this. If you don't have it - get it! Sadly the creators of the game, Naughty Dog, have finished with Crash Bandicoot games. For Crash Bandicoot 4 Eurocom is on the way!
